October 1, 200916 yr I was wondering if anyone thinks that if Rio gets the 2016 Olympics there's a risk of the Spas closing down in an effort to clean up the city? The Giuliani effect. Thumper, I dont' think so. The saunas are not in areas frequented by tourists. Pointe 202 is 7 blocks in from the beach area in Copa and on the street heading up to the favela, both 117 and Spazio18 are in Gloria and Meo Mundo is downtown surrounded by office building in a decidely not tourist area! October 3, 200916 yr My guess is given the street crime in Rio, that this won't even hit their radar. They'll be focused on making the city safe for all the dumb tourists who will come :-)
