December 9, 200916 yr Active Members Lurker, Thanks to you for reporting back on your trip. I really enjoyed reading about it and the photos were nice also! I hope one day to make it to Rio but am not convinced about the safety issues. I am glad you heeded advice and did not bring back to your hotel guys from the street. thanks again stripfan
December 9, 200916 yr Glad you enjoyed my tale of adventures.... Personally, after two visits to Rio, I didn't find it any more intimidating (safety wise) than any other major city..Common sense is the main rule.. don't go down a dark alleyway.. Be aware of your surroundings, don't flash wads of money or jewelry, try not to stand out as a "lost tourist"...Think with your big head and not the little one.. Even here in Phoenix where I live, the same rules should apply..But the best advise I can give for a first time visitor.. try to find a friend to take the trip with you. Having a sidekick not only makes it safer for you, but it is nice to have someone else to discover and explore with..There are plenty of posters here, as well as daddys and gtb who like Rio.. try to see if anyone can plan a trip at the same time you are interested in going. I was nervous the first time I went to Montreal. I made the trip alone but met two fellow posters online who helped me acclimate myself.. I was lucky enough to make both trips to Rio with a fellow poster who I had first met in Montreal. We discovered that we had similar tastes in boys and we travel well together without getting on each other's nerves....Take the plunge.. I am sure you have read some of the threads from the "senior" posters, complaining about the devaluation of the dollar over the last couple of years..It has gotten more expensive than it was.. but for a little less than what you pay for two songs in Montreal, you can have 45 minutes of full on, private sex with an incredibly hot guy in Rio..
