August 22, 201016 yr I had a user tell me they hate coming into the site with the popup on the front of the site. While I don't think this is a distraction to many it may be to some. So, I have asked that the programmers build a entrance that will allow users to bypass this popup by scrolling down a bit more and entering the site a different way. Some have said the tabs on the left side are annoying. Personally, I like them as do many with larger screens. But, I have asked the programmers to try to find a way to fix them and we are working on it. We work hard to try to make the site as user friendly as possible. If you see in our comments section of the forum, if you have problems, please let us know. We do try our best to accommodate users and make them as comfortable as possible. We appreciate all your support and patronage. Keep your suggestions coming!

That is far more than many like sites and light years ahead of one specific like site. I have a 21" monitor and while the tabs to the left do not bother me I don't see a reason for them. In fact, I have never used them once ... not even to see what happens. I think the customary navigation at the top of each page is enough. These appear to be duplication without any significant purpose. Still waiting for you to put all your awesome articles under one area

I, too, have bookmarked the forum page because I'm one of those that HATES, YES HATES that damn pop-up. As for the tabs on the side, is there some term stronger than "ugly" and "useless" to describe them? I prefer my websites to be simple, easy-to-use, and non-irritating. One of the things about the "other" site is that they are constantly changing the format. Hope this site isn't following suit.

I too however would vote to trash the tabs. Reading horizontally is not one of the easiest things to do and if you're in the forum already, why would you need a forum tab anyway? Just as one example. In lieu of the tabs, I'd rather have a wider forum format or template if that were possible. Sometimes, after visiting other forums, this place can feel cramped a bit, but that's just me probably. However, book marking the forum, as Lucky indicated is your best bet to avoid the pop ups..

August 26, 201016 yr Author Strange. Today when I logged on to the site at the forum page, there were no tabs, but when I hit the "login" button, the tabs returned. After I logged in, they disappeared again. Is a puzzlement. If you are logged in and in the forums, there are not tabs. If you are on the site, you can hit the x to remove the tabs on the rest of the site. Best thing is to just always stay online. jk I removed the tabs from the forum as that seemed to be the general consensus. The rest of the site has the tabs but they can be easily hidden by hitting the x.
