Has anyone been to the new Hans Restaurant on Third Road. Any reviews?

I haven't been there, but a couple of my friends gave it a try. They said the price range is toward the 800 to 1000 baht level. They said the decor is quite elegant. I've seen the decor from the outside as I drive by, and I can concur with that. It is definitely elegant and softly lit. They also said the food was very good, but not all that impressive. If they commented about the service, I've forgotten what they said.

I don't feel comfortable saying any more than that until I try it myself. I know that one or two people who visit this message board have been there. Perhaps they will write a better review than I am yet able to provide.

The only other review I've seen is in the online version of Sticky Rice Magazine at:

There is a photo ad on the Pattaya Mail web site at: http://www.pattayamail.com/ad/hans/index.shtml

The owner, Hans Spoerri, I believe was the manager of the Siam Bayshore Hotel before he branched out on his own with the restaurant. For all I know, he may still be connected with the Siam Bayshore, but I haven't tried to check into that.
