What Attracts You To These Blogs?

Featured Replies

I am very serious ... I really do not see the attraction to these blogs yet they earn thousands of dollars weekly in revenue (a standard skyscrapper ad on Perez Hilton costs $10,600 while poor Andy over at Towleroad only earns $1,800. for the same ad and Ohlalamag comes in just under $1,500 per week while Gawker is so far off the charts it does not list its $$20,000. per week rate). If you visit them and or just have a opinion on their attraction I like to hear it.

Of the above, towleroad and gawker are the only ones I have visited regularly. I have been to the others, but find perez hilton's to be juvenile.

I don't visit any of them unless dragged on my screen via an article on another venue so I have no judgment to offer on them individually. As far as ad rates go, I assume that is totally driven by site hit numbers first and demographics second.

I am the same as TY. I don't go to any regularly unless another site points me there. I do like Gawker but don't visit regularly. I am not sure why. As far as the ad rates go, I think a lot has to do with hits but also if you advertise when a major shit storm hits, it would be a windfall for your banner.
