February 8, 201214 yr Anyone else watch the premiere of "The River" on ABC? I must have jumped out of my skin a hundred times tonight. I will definitely have nightmares tonight. Good thing all my Cher dolls are locked in the upstairs closet. . .
February 9, 201214 yr Active Members I didn't like it. I was looking forward to it based upon previews. I didn't like the jerky camera movements and I thought that the story line was weak. What am I missing?
February 9, 201214 yr I was prepared for the camera action because it is meant to be similar to Paranormal Activity and a docudrama of searching for this lost man. What I liked about it is that they did a good job with making it scary in a unique way. Sometimes that is all I need (as long as it is done well). And that doll thing freaked me out. I'm not a fan of dolls anyway because I keep expecting them to move or blink on their own. So when they did that in this first double episode it hooked me. I guess you'd think I'd run and hide. But as long as my Cher dolls are upstairs in their boxes in the closet then I'm safe. . .LOL
