February 14, 201214 yr This is a great vintage photo of LA. The Brown Derby was an iconic restaurant frequented by many celebrities. You may remember that Lucy Ricardo went there on their first afternoon in the Hollywood episodes. I just loved this vintage view of LA and wanted to share it.
February 14, 201214 yr Hate to admit that I'm old enough to have eaten there many time but I definitely am. There were two Brown Derby's the Hollywood one was on Vine between Hollywood Blvd, and Sunset and the Wilshire District one was almost directly across the street from the old Ambassador Hotel. I had a friend, now long gone, who absolutely loved the Brown Derby's Welsh Rarebit.
March 24, 201214 yr Vintage photos from Sunset Boulevard. I loved this store and spent many hours in this place. Too bad all of this genre is gone thanks to iTunes. . .
March 24, 201214 yr I basically lived in Tower Sunset. It was an awesome store where I would spend hours checking out all the music. I miss record stores iTunes is nice but so sanitary lol.
