November 1, 200718 yr I will give you an example how one of the police forces in Pattaya is setting up this corruption practices The police sends somebody inside the internet shops first, to put bad things into the computer, illegal music and nude pictures ( Those people, a civilian we think, get maybe some money from the police) And when the person is finished, he or she gives a sign to the police and then the police is coming into the shop and take all the computers with them to the police station, they delete the things in the computers. And if the internet shop-owner wants the computers back, then the owner has to pay 20,000 per computer, that is the way one of the police forces in Pattaya is playing this very dirty game. November 2, 200718 yr I've read these same reports on Thai Visa in the Chiang Mai forum. It seems the computer shop owner there got his computers back for around the same price. I would hope there is a way the owners could disable any downloading of any type onto the computers. If not, it may be too expensive for computer shops to stay in business! Pete
