She was quite the funny lady and a pioneer for women in that business. I actually saw her live a couple of times.
August 21, 201214 yr I had also seen her live a few times. She was ahead of her time and quite funny. She always wore those gloves ... she once said to cover up the liver spots.... RIP

August 22, 201214 yr Active Members A Portland artist, Thomas Lauderdale (of Pink Martini), recorded what I believe is Phyllis Diller's last recording. He was at her home in January 2012 and accompanied her while she sang "Smile". This is a wonderful memory of her and a great tribute.
