October 30, 201213 yr Speaking as a film student, by doing this you would effectively end conflict in all situations thus ending TV show, movies, books, plays, etc. Certainly nobody wants to go to the new BATMAN movie if BATMAN says to the villain, "Why don't you just give up?" and he says, "Okay." and the movie ends after 10 glorious minutes.
