January 13, 201313 yr Active Members If Sandy had been a summer hurricane, category 1, with the same storm surge, Manhattan and the surrounding area would be completely devastated. Sandy packed VERY little rain and wind for most of us. It's silly to refer to days like today (60 and foggy) as "abnormally warm for this time of year." We rarely, if ever, have snow anymore, and winter is almost nonexistent compared to my childhood.
