Note that Rome saunas require an ARCIGAY membership card, which you can purchase at any sauna. It requires photo ID and costs roughly $12.

This sauna is all-gay only Sundays through Wednesdays, so mind your calendar. It's a bit far out of the city center, but you get a different mix of men here, and is good for an actual sauna or Turkish bath, but there is not much in the way of sex-friendly facilities.

CURRENTLY UNDERGOING RENOVATIONS. Mediterraneo is a bear-friendly sauna and the non-bears who love them come in droves. It is enormous, and features dark rooms, a video room, massage, and a smoking lounge. It's kept immaculate and is arguably the most popular sauna in Rome.

Gays of all ages frequent EMC, which is probably the prettiest sauna in Rome, and also very clean. It includes a gym and a bar as well as two Jacuzzis and a pool, but little in the way of spaces for sex. However, you can always find yourself a pretty thing to take with you somewhere else.

Recently renovated, Apollion is small but does the job. An older clientele goes here, but the younger ones also flit about, attracted to the sugar daddy crowd. There are private cabins, a video room, and a pool and sauna.
