It's a huge space with indoor and outdoor spaces and a pool, which is the theme of their Sunday night party. It opens early (6pm) during the week and late (10pm) on the weekends, and there are go-go boys, strippers, and drag shows. 2 Cats Night Club | Rua do Brum, 85 | (81) 424-3150 | no website This is a mixed gay and lesbian club, but is heavily gay with dark rooms, cozy mezzanines, and DJs spinning current hits and electronica. The huge bar is quite the pickup scene with this young crowd. Only open Thursday-Sunday. 3 New Misty | Av. Conselheiro Aguiar, 793 | 81 3325-4573 | no website New Misty is open from Thursdays to Sundays, and has drag shows, a great mixture of old and new music, and plenty of pretty, pretty eye candy. The bar area, with its red lighting and chandeliers, is perfect for a chat. 4 MKB (Meu Kaso Bar) | Rua Bispo Cardoso Ayres, 04 | 81 - 3223-0921 | http://www.meukasobar.com.br You can see MKB from blocks away, with its pink and red lit exterior; inside, there is live music, drag shows, and DJ-fueled danceathons. And it's right in the city center, so if you're at a beachfron hotel you're nice and close. 5 Mix Pub | Rua do Sossego, 11 | 81 3423.5366 | http://www.mixpub.com.br/ This club is heavy on live Brazilian music, with mixed pop tunes by DJs and great drag shows. They don't have theme nights, but heavily promote their live singers, which are popular with the gay crowd. A very fun, local experience that's all gay.
