The Ipanema Plaza is smack in the middle of the gayborhood, on the Farme de Amoedo beach and near many of the bars we list here. Note that you have to have your key with you when you go out at night to show to security upon return, and guests have to “register” showing ID, so no bringing back a half-naked boy with no wallet!
