August 16, 201313 yr "Jobs" is getting very bad reviews. Heres a funny one: "Hollywood might someday design a sleek, prestige biopic worthy of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs.... For now, he's gotten a Dell." Meanwhile I'm Bout to see the first showing of Lee Daniel's The Butler.
August 16, 201313 yr Our Fox tv reviewer here liked Jobs and said that Kutcher nailed the role. He also raved about "the Butler" and especially about Oprah's performance.
August 16, 201313 yr Active Members I have no desire to see Jobs. Although Mr Jobs changed the world landscape, I found him to be quite boring, and I am really tired of "Rags to Riches" stories unless they are speaking about ME !
August 16, 201313 yr Lee Daniel's The Butler was absolutely fantastic. The entire cast was amazing. I didn't realize that Mariah Carey was in it. But her role was non-speaking. You'll understand what I mean when you see it. I also wonder if the audience here in Orange County understood the irony of Jane Fonda playing Nancy Reagan. Even though she was only on the screen for 5 minutes it was fully impactful to say the least. I had to laugh out loud at her dramatic turn as Nancy on the arm of Ronny. I suspect that both Oprah and Forest Whitaker will both get Oscar nominations.
