This season is about the lowest I've ever seen it. That's to your advantage, though. You won't have much competition when it comes to availability of the boys you like.

It's kind of a double edged sword though. My first time in LoS was Sept 2006. There apparently weren't many tourists in Pattaya at the time. Several times I was the only patron in a bar. All the boys on stage just stare at you expectantly trying very hard to make eye contact and win your attention. It made me extremely uncomfortable to be the center of attention like that. And it almost made me feel obligated spend money that I wouldn't normally have done.

Many people feel the same as you do. Personally, I love when that happens. I have yet to ever feel uncomfortable about it. Of course, these past couple of years several of the bars have been like that even during high season. It's been rough on the bars and even rougher on the boys.

I understand that planned refurbishments to the terrace, coffee shop/bar and reception area have already started. They were scheduled to stay open for business whilst the work was being done (but were offering discounts to guests to compensate for the inconvenience (building work will be 8am - 5pm only each day)). That may have deterred some people from booking there at this time.

 

I am due there early next month and have been re-assured that inconvenience/noise will be kept to a minimum and will only be during the daytime anyway.
