Not concerned with cost but want a good reliable pain free dentist. Chipped off part of my tooth and seems to be a situation where there could be alternative diagnosis so want someone with integrity.

 

Never liked going to the dentist, well who does, and would prefer one somewhat fluent in English.

On another board people are suggesting Dr Ari who works out of Pattaya International so maybe the hospitals have the best dentists?

I am not sure about the best but I know that many who go to Bangkok Pattaya and have for years and are very happy with them. I have taken the BF there many times and I have been there on at least 5 occasions and I hate dentists and I had an easy time to get comfortable there.

You might try asking people who actually live in Pattaya, rather than relying on the advice of those who don't live here and know only what they've heard. Yes, the dental clinic at Bangkok-Pattaya is excellent. No doubt about it. It is also much more expensive than going to a good local dental clinic.

 

I am going to suggest the dental clinic I use. You know why? Because several of the dentists who practice there are the same dentists you'll find at Bangkok-Pattaya. That's right, the same ones. They have more than just the one practice. You can get their services at Bangkok-Pattaya or you can also get the same service from them at their local clinics for about half the price.

 

I recommend the Modern Smile dental clinic. Their web site is http://www.modernsmiledental.com . I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. By the way, my father was a dentist, so I have a pretty good idea what to look for in a dental office. That's another reason why I recommend the Modern Smile clinic.

If you are interested in supporting GLU (Guys like us) try http://www.thaismiledental.com. He is a nice guy, speaks excellent English and is a recent graduate and uses the latest technology. All the procedures and costs are listed on his website.

GayButton..........I followed your suggestion and have been going to Modern Smile Dentist. I am very very pleased. Excellent care and excellent facilities. I would also highly recommend.

I just had a series of six visits to the Dental Clinic at Bangkok Hospital Pattaya .......... lots of work, virtually no pain (except for the bill!!! which I must admit was a fraction of USA costs for similar treatment) ...... great dentist and overall service ...... Dr. Tapasit, US trained, 5 star English, totally professional and willing to listen to requests for various options ....... oxymoronic to recommend a dentist, but this one is tops.

If your primary concern is a great dentist and cost doesn't matter too much, then I highly recommend Dr Aree at Pattaya International Hospital. She's great! The best dentist I've had anywhere in the world.

Dr. Phurit Kitsadayurat, D.D.S. is outstanding. He owns the A.P.C. Dental Clinic on Soi 5 between Pattaya Second Road and Beach Road (so easy to get to by Baht bus). He is competent, speaks good English and was originally recommended to me by a long-time resident of Pattaya. I was quite clear on my expectation of no pain and there was none! I had 4 caps done by him for less than the price of 1 in the USA and my USA dentist commented on the good work when I went in for my semi-annual visit there. A year later I asked Dr. Kitsadayurat about whether whitening was worth it for my teeth and he said, likely not (because their gray color is from childhood fever), which also confirms what I was told in the USA. In other words, he has integrity! I'll be going back to him in another month for a cleaning.
