62 years ago today, Oct 15, 1951, "I Love Lucy" premiered on CBS-TV. It's an amazing feat to have lasted so long. But I still enjoy it nearly every day.

Growing up in Alabama, we didn't have cable TV and thus I Love Lucy was a treat for us when we stayed with relatives in the city (yes, I was in the boondocks on a farm).

I do remember being so excited to stay with my great grandmother some and watch TBS which played I love Lucy and Green Acres. I found them both delightful and have loved Lucy all my life!

Lucy was definitely one of the greatest female comediennes of her generation. IMHO, Gilder Radner would have been the same type of comedienne if she hadn't died so you.
