Depending on what night you're there, O Gato is either a bar or a club. Go earlier in the week and stick to the lower level for live ambient music; head there on the weekends and go upstairs for electro pop and lots of sweaty Brazilian bodies which are guaranteed, given its location on the Gay Caneca. It can get a little cramped, though, so make sure to go early or late (which is early; it closes at 6am) to be able to, you know, breathe.
