Having to use "full editor" to avoid extraneous marks in post

Beginning yesterday, I have had to revert to using the full editor to avoid leaving unwanted and software punctuation marks in my posts. I thought we had that problem before but it "went away". Now, back.

    1. Tap the lock icon next to the address bar.
    2. Tap Permissions → Notifications.
    3. Adjust your preference.
    Chrome (Desktop)
    1. Click the padlock icon in the address bar.
    2. Select Site settings.
    3. Find Notifications and adjust your preference.
