Sure, JP Morgan is going to forfeit something in the neighborhood of $2 Billion, but as an LA Times columnist points out, the settlement stinks to high heaven. JP Morgan was uniquely placed to have exposed Madoff ten years earlier, but chose money over honor. And why is it that not a single individual at JP Morgan is being prosecuted?
