I guess from the lack of interest that no one takes it seriously that the Arizona legislature has just legalized bias against gays. I have no doubt it would not pass muster in the courts, but it is still a statement against our interests. The anti-gay movement is gaining steam. Just look at Putin or Uganda. Bigots will jump right on it and we have no idea whether it will gain strength or not. I wouldn't let our same-sex marriage success blind us to the bigger picture of bias.

The state congress passed the bill. The governor has not as of yet signed or commented on it..It is a wait and see item. But you are completely correct in that it is yet another bad strike on the reputation of Arizona
