Buffet at the Dusit Hotel

Featured Replies

I had a friend who said there was an all you can eat buffet at the Dusit. Anyone been? Enjoyed it? Is it every night?

I have been there. Yes, it's top quality. It's about 1000 baht per person. It is available every night. If you can think of something to eat, this buffet probably has it.

I don't mind picking hair out of my teeth, but feathers--no way.

On subject the Buffet at D2 (Dusit 2)in Chiang Mai is outstanding. They only do it now and then, but when they do it is a great bargain and done first class.

Pok Salad

Pok Salad !!!

Oh my goodness, John. I haven't heard anyone refer to that in a long, long time. Brings back many memories! Thanks.

I can save you a trip. Go to Chiang Mai instead. Pass through the gate directly across from the Montri Hotel and you'll see the Art Cafe restaurant. If I remember correctly, they have it, among other southern specialties, and it's good!

I do thank you for that. I will be moving just a few hours away from there the first of Oct and will stop by for sure.

And I have another for you, John. In Chiang Mai, you really must try "Hell's Kitchen". The Thai lady who runs it learned "down home" cooking from her American mother-in-law back in Georgia, USA. I've had the tasty pleasure of eating there several times and can truly say that you'd have to go deep into the American 'Deep South' to find it's equal.

Their info:

"Hell's Kitchen, Anusarn Market, 149/22 Changklan Road, between O'Malleys Irish Pub & Mikes Burgers. Tel. 053-232195. Secret recipe bbq sauce from deep south USA. Open 5 pm."

And, they have much more than bbq. Hope you enjoy!
