July 1, 201412 yr Now that the World Cup is closing down, do you think the prices for hotels and apartments in Rio will be going down? Or, will they continue to go up?
July 1, 201412 yr Active Members I'm sure prices will be coming down shortly after the World Cup. Coming down that is to pre-World Cup prices. I was in Sao Paulo and Porto Alegre a few weeks before the World Cup started and I did not notice anything unusual with the prices.

July 2, 201412 yr Active Members Yeah, prices will go down from the actual U$ 500 for 1 night at a 3 star hotel to the usual U$250-300/night. But I don't count prices on food, restaurants and clothes going down anytime soon.
