October 8, 201411 yr Oh well.... what do you expect ? He's FRENCH ! Not anymore. He gave up his French citizenship. Putin offered him graciously a Russian passport and named him Ambassador of the Ministry of Culture in Moscow. (If you have followed Depardieu's multiples faux pas in the media you would know that there's was nothing "cultural" about them). Here's Depardieu "parading" with his Russian passport. Since Depardieu moved his main residence to Belgium (to avoid paying exorbitant taxes in France) he became persona non-grata.
