November 21, 201411 yr Growing up in the deep South, I also grew up listening to Country music. I loved it as a kid, although I longed for something more. I still find solace in listening to some of the older songs. The music industry is full of gay men and women but in Counrty Music, it has not been that way. I was happy to read that Ty Herndon came out as gay and says he is an open and proud gay man. Here is one of the songs I really enjoy from him:
