Why Are So Many of the "Tops" Online Black?

Featured Replies

I hope we don't need to be PC here and can discuss this topic openly.

I do a search in NYC on various hookup sites (non-pay) and it seems as if a disproportionate % of the guys who advertise themselves as tops are black or latino and a disproportionately low % is white. Given that blacks are only 12% of the US population at large, but they are well over half the guys who advertise themselves as tops in certain age ranges.

I can see a number of explanations but curious to know if others here have noticed the same thing.

I really dont pay much attention to how guys describe themselves online, as it is widely known that the Majority LIE.

I will say that I find a majority of black or latin men are on the DL, (down low), and their masculinity is being called into question here...So TOP would be the expected label....

My advise, if there is some physical attraction (if the pic is REAL), try it and see if you like it. It may turn out he's a TOP, but on the other hand, he may do a belly flop on the bed, and scream "BABY FUCK ME"....

I've been a gay escort for 15 years. Mostly on a passive basis. In 15 years and literally thousands of men I've only ever seen two black men. Both were tops. Neither were anything to write to Mother about

We don't have a huge black population in the North East of England but only seeing 2 and a 100% disappointment rate is what I factor in to this argument.

OK but please note I'm not saying they're any good at sex (I don't prefer blacks either), but why there's a discrepancy in how different races advertise themselves, or whether this reflects their actual desires, or whatever.

If you don't prefer blacks, why would it possibly matter to you? I mean why would you even waste your time thinking about it? There must be enough boys out there that aren't black advertising to satisfy your hiring needs. Your concern over whether or not there is some sort of discrepancy and what appears to be some sort of fabricated issue, and your whole premise for concerning yourself with this, seems to have some ulterior motive.

This isn't about hiring, it's about hookup sites, although I've seen the same pattern on hiring sites too.

The answer about why it matters to me is simple curiosity. It's a pattern I've noticed and it's interesting to think about why. Not everything needs to be about personal gain. Also, it's not bad to notice things :P

Given that African-Americans and Latinos together make up well over 1/2 the population of NYC, is that really so surprising? NYC ain't in Kansas, Dorothy. Factor in also that Blacks and Hispanics are also disproportionately poor and therefore find the money they can make hustling attractive.

LOL, but I take your meaning. The black and Mexican guys I have had experience with were no higher a % of tops than a random sample of other ethnicities I've met. As had been mentioned any number of times in the garato threads (& as Sucky points out above), what the guys will do in private does not necessarily match what they are willing to say in front of their friends.

By the way  , reading between the lines, I think your real complaint is that too many of the white escorts advertise as bottoms.
