The panoramic view stretches over legendary Ipanema Beach, the surfing area of Arpoador and the double-peaked Morro Dois Irmãos. Guests can also take in the view from the steam room and visit the rooftop fitness center and bar.

The pool is for hotel guests only. Rooms start at $820 for a courtyard view.

Personally, for a lot less money I would take the Pestana hotel in Copa, not as good as Fasano's location in Ipanema a block from the gay beach at Farme de Amoedo, but for the $500.+ saving per DAY vs. the Fasano I will walk the 12 blocks or so to Farme beach.
