November 4, 200817 yr All over Pattaya I see trucks pulling new electric lines and installing new electric posts. The electric in my area has been cut all day 4 times now, I don't know how the hotels cope. I was having an election breakfast and invited some friends to watch the results, but at 4pm today a speaker truck went by saying the electric would be cut again from 8am - 6pm So I booked a room at Two Guys Guest House so I could watch the results.
November 5, 200817 yr A friend told me that they delivered a large generator outside the Mosaik Luxury Apartments on Soi Day/Night. That sounds like the electrical process might be a long one.
November 5, 200817 yr Look at the bright side. At least you were warned. In my area they simply cut it, with no advance warning of any kind, without anyone having any idea why it was cut, and without having any idea how long the electricity will be off. It doesn't happen often and they also seem to have solved the problem of power outages during rain storms, but it is certainly an unpleasant surprise when it does happen.
