Any experience with Viator tours?

Featured Replies

They look fairly professional and seem to have good reviews. They charge $16.26 for the BKK transfer and only $38.71 for the Pattaya transfer! The Pattaya transfer is the cheapest door to door I have ever heard of before........1100 baht

Also, their dinner cruise in BKK sounds nice. Has anyone ever taken this?

I have not used Viator Tours and really have never heard of them. A taxi into BKK would be cheaper than $16.26 US. The cheapest door to door service is, as TOQ said, 150 baht. Bell Travel is a wonderful service, but only operates on a daytime schedule. Tell us of about the dinner cruise.

Hi John,

Viator is a US based tour operator, specializing in sightseeing tours and transfers all over the world.

They are quite reliable. I used them a few times for my clients and never had a complaint.

I'm an experienced travel agent, in the business for 16 years. I will be in Pattaya from December 1

through December 10, staying at 'Cafe Royale', as usual.

If anybody wants to pick my brain, (travel related subjects only) you are more than welcome.

On another subject. This Bell Travel transfer deal of 150B sounds almost to good to be true. However,

I take your word for it. Does anybody know the email address of Bell Travel??.

Looking forward to hear from anybody of the forum.

Thanks in advance.

Uwe

I use Bell Travel Service very often and 150 baht is the price they charge one way door to door from Arrival Hall at the airport to Pattaya Hotels and vice versa. I have their flyer. It does not have an e mail address. Their BKK number is (66) (0) 2747 4675. Pattaya number is (66) (0) 38 370 055.

Thanks everyone.....

I had no idea about bell.....wow, that is cheap....so, the only way to arrange it is by phone?

So, can I use them to get from the airport to my BKK hotel and then days later from my hotel to Pattaya? I just read somewhere that near door 7 at the airport is the Bell rep....but I don't think I can use them it sounds like since I'm getting in at midnight. I guess I need to use a taxi or this Viator service.....

Hi Monkeysee,

Over on the SGT (or was it TT, not sure) site there were good things said about the dinner cruise and that's when I bookmarket these folks and noticed the transfer. I may do the cruise with a boy as some said it was a hit.....I will report back is I do the dinner cruise....

Here is the link to the cruise: http://www.viator.com/tours/Bangkok/Bangko.../d343-3685BKK38I won't be able to use bell when i arrive so probably a taxi....

Thanks.

Thanks everyone.....

They do go from Pattaya to some BKK hotels, but I think they primarily go to and from the airport. The only way to know for sure is to call them. If you call them on SKYPE it will only cost you .021 cents (US) per minute. Since you are getting to BKK airport at Midnight you cannot use them.

It's true. These other services charging 1000 baht and up are fine, but it makes no sense to me to spend the money when you can do the same thing for a tenth of the price. On top of everything else, private drivers expect a good tip along with the fare, making it that much more expensive.
