Likewise. I started watching it in 1969. It was still shown in the mornings in my market then; I happened upon it from the lead-in show, which on our channel was 'The Galloping Gourmet.' :lol:

By all accounts from my fanatic friends who have attended every one of these DS Festivals since they got going at the end of the 1980s, the loss of Frid was sharply felt. The 2011 DS Fest (held in August in Brooklyn) was the last one he attended.
