November 10, 20169 yr Active Members Everyday my computer picks up cookies. Boytoy.com gives one, which I assume gives them the power to recognize me when I come back. I don't think it is a tracking cookie, but it might be. Tracking cookies seem to be those whose donors feel entitled to follow me around the web, supposedly so that they can better tailor ads to me. Many if not most cookies are hard to figure. Why do I always have cookies from lowermybills.com and twitter.com, both sites that I don't use. When I go to my cookie list, I see that most of them involve ads. If you delete them, they come right back. Unavoidable might be the right word. So, what should my attitude be toward cookies? Friend or foe? Are they really tracking me around the internet? Do they watch porn with me?

I don't think they actually watch it with you, Lucky, but they do make careful notes on which pages you look at and how often and for how long and send that info to their master. I mean, how else is Kleenex to know when to remind you to reorder & make intelligent recommendations as to quantity?
November 11, 20169 yr Author Active Members So I cleaned out all of the cookies. Then I signed in to my 8 favorite sites. Whereupon, I took another look at the cookie list, which minutes ago is empty. Well, most of the cookies I deleted are back. My favorite sites do not come to me unattached. Lowermybills.com needs a cookie on my computer? I don't think so. Same for Twitter.
November 11, 20169 yr Active Members It occurs to me that if you clear your cookies and then check one favorite site you cou eventually determine which site was selling your ass to which outfit. Not sure what you could do with that info but it would be nice to know. I wonder if it's legal for you to plant some cookies on Lowermybills.com computers and spy on them,like maybe find out which sites they're paying to plant cookies on people. Why should it be legal for them but not for you?

Why should it be legal for them but not for you? I'd suggest spending more time tossing your salad. A good salad toss always alleviates these annoying type suspicions.
November 23, 20169 yr Author Active Members So my new computer is up and running. I checked the cookies, and so many of the old standbys are back, I will stop deleting them. Twitter was not only back, but was included in my start-up menu. Thanks, Dell. I don't want it. No cookie form the one that wants to lower my pant, oops, bills. But Toyota had 2 cookies on there, and I had not visited any site related to them. Generally cookies don't bother me unless they are going to follow me around the internet. That's not nice! These might be better!
