August 14, 20179 yr I usually use Daily Xtra Travel online guides for more comprehensive up do date info. I think it is fairly current for Rio. Be aware that many locals are priced out of the "trendier" more upscale areas. I myself refuse to pay To Ne Mi's caipirinha prices. Also, there is no truly centralized core gay area in the city.

August 15, 20179 yr Lurker, most nights its not open but the stairway going up to the bathrooms is how you access it! Also i believe they rent it for private parties.

You have to be a little more specific on what you want....there are tons of places in Rio where you will see hot guys during the day...Ipanema has a gay area on the beach and during the summer months, there are loads of boys there.... If you like to party and music and crowds...Lapa is a great area to get cheap drinks and eats and see HOT boys.... Go back over the forums and you will see tons of info... Again, it will be relative to when you visit...winter or summer.... FYI...Samba schools if you go with a local are the best....some of the hottest guys are at the samba school practices and its worth trying at night...there are always drinks available at the schools as well

August 18, 20179 yr I think brall has been registered here for several years. brall, if you and others requesting more detailed info were to provide a few words about yourself ... age, expectations for what will occur at various venues, escort-oriented or not (ie, admixture of guys sought), length of visit, etc, I for one (and others here) would be willing to make more of an effort to steer you towards or away from various listings. We actually do prefer to contribute than cuntribute. You have anonymity ... why would we not think you are being lazy in terms of providing personal detail, on top of which you have not evidently made an effort to source the vast info available in the public domain? Fair enough, ask away, put provide context. I am not going to suggest the same entertainment itinerary for a 65, 45, 25 year old, or an extrovert vs introvert, 1st timer versus seasoned visitor, and so on. I get senior discounts ar most sightseeing venues, and pay for sex, so obviously it would not be suggested I lurk around The Week. Equivalency of effort will yield clearer answers for you and greater satisfaction for respondents who enjoy the challenge of tailoring and knitting together info with some degree of specificity.
