December 23, 200817 yr The 20th anniversary of the terrorist bombing of a Pan Am jet that killed 271 people was memorialized in the small Scottish town of Lockerbie, yesterday. The x-raying of all the luggage and other inconveniences at the airport are well worth it, if they prevent another tragedy like this.
December 23, 200817 yr The problem is that they aren't likely to prevent such a tagedy, as where there is a will there is a way. Now, they will have to find some other way to take a plane out of the sky. People can find ways around the security checks if they really work at it...but what really needs to be done is have Top Quality People in the security checks (not bottom of the heap public employees that just want the 8 hours to go by) and do top notch profiling!!
