January 2, 200917 yr True has introduced a NEW INTERSIM calling card / sim card: I have used it for a month now and am saving BAHT when I make calls using my mobile... with INTERSIM card from True....The sim card costs 49 Baht and is available at mobile vendors. Make sure it is an INTERSIM card and comes in a special post card size envelope packet... which folds out for instructions...along with the sim card from TRUE. To call international...you dial an access number...then when voice prompted by the computer, enter the number you want to call...wait and the call is connected...easy to use....once you learn the steps. 1 baht/min calls good thru March 31, 2009....after which it becomes 5 baht/min. SMS messages are 5 baht per sms. Calls for 1 baht include those to 5 countries: USA, Canada, China, Singapore, and Hong Kong. Other calls are low cost...see their rates. You MUST buy an INTERSIM Card from True...49 baht! Yes...only 49 baht!! Ask mobile vendors for the True INTERSIM Card....do not but any True sim card... IT MUST be the INTERSIM card...49 baht! The True money vards can be bought at any vendor...BUT, 7-11 has the TRUE MONEY CARD, which can be used for the calls...on special for 90 baht for 100 baht of time....that is a 10% discount...for 100 minutes of calls. January 2, 200917 yr Good one TJ!!! Another cheap alternative is to use your computer and Yahoo Voice/Messenger to call USA land lines and mobiles for a penny a minute. Skype Out is 2.1 cents a minute from your computer to USA landlines and mobiles and 800 numbers are free. And computer to computer, Yahoo or Skype is free anywhere in the world.
