Acquarius, Excellent restaurant in Jomtien.

Featured Replies

I generally do not like to post on restaurants, because one man's cure is another man's poison.

Since I like all you good folks I will make an exception here, since this place is exceptionally good.

Located next door to Monty's in Jomtien Complex, the restaurant features comfortable and tastefully decorated indoor and outdoor seating.

And then there is the food. Appetizer, main course, and desert. 3 course specials ranging from 290-350 baht.

One such combo is a Scallop and Mussel in cream sauce appetizer, duck in Cherry Sauce, and huge fruit salad for just 290 baht.

Another I enjoyed was Shrimp Cocktail, New Zealand Lamb Chops, and Creme Brulee for 350 baht.

You get the picture.

Give it a try.

While you are there, give the guys at Question Mark and Dolce Vita, Monty's and Rock Hard a look-see.

Thanks for the suggestion. There seem to be several good restaurants opening. I will add this to the growing list. I think I have walked by it and wondered why such a nice looking restaurant was opening there.

Was it very crowded when you have been there?

I have eaten there twice, a few nights ago, and it was about half crowded, and Saturday night when it was surprisingly nearly empty.

I have eaten there and also nearly empty. I recall the food as good and reasonable. One of the Thais in our party of 2 farang & 2 Thai did not like the food. I cannot remember what it was we had.

Add me to the fans of Aquarius. I thought the food was fantastic, the service top notch, the ambiance relaxed, and the prices well within the budget of the tightest wallet. The last time we went there we discovered the weekly special set menus appear to be available everyday - don't be fooled by the posted sign out front. I can't applaud this place enough.

I've also got to urge everyone to re-check out Jomtien Complex. I've lived near there for several years and have always just driven past it as it used to be sort of boring. Not any more. It's becoming a cheapskate's (like me) restaurant row. Give Ritz, Pagoda, Olivier's, Hot Stone Grill's Saturday barbecue special, and a few others a serious look see. Don't be put off way the cloth table cloths and the rows of sparkling wine glasses pre-set up. Each of these places have special set menus for 300 baht (give or take a couple baht) and are true bargains.

Jomtien Complex appears to have become a vibrant active gay alternative. There is plenty of eye candy walking around and in the various bars. I've become a fan.

You have got that right.

With the excellent Soup, Salad Bar, Main Course, and Desert at Ollivier's (for a French twist) or at Stone Grill (for a more healthy alternative); Jomtien is a great dinner locale for me. I like this quality for 300 baht.

The "after party" at the host bars is an added plus. Best prices in town for drinks and bar fines.

I like the Cappuccino at Question Mark.

Why do I have a feeling that ain't all you like at Question Mark . . . ?

Yeah.

It also has a dartboard and pool table. 301 anyone?
