September 4, 200620 yr I went to see her last time she was here 5 years ago i think. Interesting ship with the book fair on deck no tours when we went. Staffed by volunteers the books seems to me to be mainly of a religious nature. But the trip through the dock yards is very interesting.
September 4, 200620 yr Actually the world's oldest passenger ship is not in Thailand, it is docked in San Diego, California. It is the Star of India first built about 1862 and was used as as a passenger ship in 1871 carrying emigrants from England to New Zeland, Australia and even to California. Pehaps there are more old type ships in the world? Only a Google Search will tell! In any case I do plan to take the tour. www.sdmaritime.com
