April 11, 20224 yr Active Members It’s always good to see bureaucracy becoming more efficient in the US. As an aside, the UK Passport Office has offered a same-day renewal service for more than 20 years. You have to reserve a time-slot and take your old passport in about 9.30am to collect the new one after 2pm. Last time I did this, the total cost was about $160.

I was surprised.

I was surprised. Good indeed ! Last year was a total mess for renewals. People need to remember that many countries require your passport be valid for 6 months past your trip there. Caused me a lot of headache last fall.
