The only reason I can think of , is the death of 2 managers , during the last year , and the health condition of Robbie . September 8, 200620 yr After knowing Robbie, Ian and Ian for many years, I was always under the impression that Robbie and Ian (not mc.knight), were the owners.
September 9, 200620 yr Rumours again. Le Cafe Royale is not for sale - now. The new owner of Throp-Splash has also bougth Kevins part of the hotel and are interested in buying the hole hotel, but just now it is not for sale.

BTW does anyone know if Robbie is back from Holland or is he still having medical treatment there? Has his health improved?
September 9, 200620 yr Robbie is undergoing a very hard medical treatment in Holland and also have to have a very hard operation. He will be away at least 4 month. In the meantime Mike Cockroft , former manager of Charlies boys, take care of bar and restaurant. And reservation, bills etc. do Thomas Kalb.

I, also, had wondered as to the progress of Robbie's health. I certainly wish for him the best.

I am aware of the background to Robbie's medical problems but did not realise he was due for an operation. I wish him well and I am sure all other past guests of LCR will join me in that.
