June 6, 200917 yr Tuesday, June 16, 2009 Open Auditions for "A Fatal Combination" Pattaya Players (home of Pattaya's Professional Amateurs) is proud to announce open auditions for its next performance: "A Fatal Combination" by Peter DePietro. There are parts for 6 males, 6 females and two extras. The auditions will be held at Indian By Nature Restaurant on Thappraya Road in Jomtien at 6:30 PM on Tuesday, June 16, 2009. The production will also be hosted at Indian By Nature Restaurant as a dinner theater experience. The performance dates will be September 4-5, 2009. All interested parties both talent-wise and back stage should plan on attending. Synopsis of play: A flamboyant, aging and lovable Greek art dealer; a reticent and revengeful librarian; a not so shallow bleached blond actress and a literary scholar all descend upon a posh Boston hotel to retrieve a rare Byzantine treasure secured in the hotel vault where it awaits an upcoming museum exhibition. Each wants the treasure enough to kill for it. George and Margaret Manning, a sharp eyed husband and wife detective team akin to Charlie Chan and Number One Son, work hand in hand to solve this deliciously sinister plot of international intrigue. This is a thriller to the end.
June 8, 200917 yr When do rehearsals start? I can make it for the auditions but I'll be going home for a few weeks after and will come again end of July to stay for two months. Would you consider big guys for any of the leads? I've been thrown out of auditions before because they say I'm a 'drama queen', 'difficult', 'love to hog the limelight', 'always need to be right', etc but if truth be told I think people just hate me because I'm fat. That's why I feel so at home in Pattaya.
June 9, 200917 yr When do rehearsals start? Though I haven't set the rehearsal schedule yet, it won't start until late July -- so that would be fine! As for being fat, we don't care if your skinny, fat, bloated, plump or anorexic! If you love theater and want to have a lot of fun with some great people, we'd love to see you at the audition!
