Okay, so we are all going back to normal, but what do I do with my boyfriend? Will all of my gay friends disown me once I am normal? I sure hope I do not have to become an evangelical convert and raise children. It is really nice of you to do this, but if it is possible, I would like to just stay myself and go gayly forward.

A lot of the functions won't work at all yet. For example, that "Mother of" thread I posted was lucky to see the light of day at all. I have no idea how it wound up appearing twice, and once with a thread locked. I can't get into my own post to edit it out.

 

In other words, the board needs a hell of a lot of work. I don't see much here, at least not yet, that makes the old board worth bothering to upgrade. I'm a great believer in "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." It wasn't broke, but it got fixed anyhow. Now it's broke. The old board was working perfectly. So far, the results of this upgrade are not exactly impressive.

It is not the new version. They are making a backup of the old one and have not installed the new one yet. I am not sure what the fuck all this is to be honest.

LOL Thank goodness some are bigger than others. Being a size queen myself, I am so thankful for this.

Now now boys. Yesterday was not a disaster. It was not even an attempted changeover. Here is what our programmer said:

 

Actually last time when I worked on security issue I had removed write permission from almost all folders. Becuase of this forum was not able to rebuild cache so it was using default skin set. Problem is resolved now.

 

Little snafu. No biggie. IMHO

Problem is resolved now

 

Still doesn't seem resolved to me. After I log in and click on the Message Board, I no longer get the page listing the various forums. I have to go a roundabout way by clicking on new posts and then working backwards from there. And then this morning, I was unable to post for a while. Something's not right.

I think maybe that temporary replacement board is still in your cache. Try clearing your cache. If that doesn't work, try hitting the 'refresh' or 'reload' button on your browser. That should cure the problem.

And if that doesn't work, give your CPU a good whack with a 9 iron. That should cure ALL ITS PROBLEMS. In thirty-five years as an electronics technician and engineer. I have used that method many times. Twice it worked.

I have no idea, then, what could be causing the problem. The only thing I can think of to try would be to see use of a different browser makes any difference.
