September 6, 200917 yr As 1 who has not been to phuket for well over 6 yrs can any 1 who has been a recent visitor tell me how it now compares to pattaya with regard to the standard of boys and gay hotels etc?
September 6, 200917 yr I have only been to Phuket in the off-season. Pattaya wins hands down - dozens of hands!
September 6, 200917 yr The choice of gay bars in Phuket is much smaller than Pattaya, so if that is your main interest, Pattaya wins hands down. Phuket has about 6 gogo bars, plus a few other gay bars & massage establishments. I haven't counted them, but Pattaya must have at least 3 times the number of gogo bars, at least 6 of which I would rate higher than anything in Phuket. Phuket has a much more elegant beach, although I suspect if you go around December time, the weather in Pattaya is likely to be better.
