I'm not sure it's accurate to suggest that Thais are bringing HIV to Australians. What the article says is that the Thai gay community has shown the largest rise in HIV infection. Having been a fairly frequent visitor to Sydney, I reckon most Thais there seem to like being with western/Australian guys. So I suggest the main reason for this increased infection rate is more likely that both Thais and their partners are not practising safe sex. Who's bringing what to whom is therefore a moot point
