I'm visiting Bangkok in March 2010. I'm looking for recommendations for a reputable, cute, gay, english-speaking, athletic, knowledgeable tour guide in Bangkok. Ideally the guide would be between 20 and 27 years old. A car is not necessary but a friendly attitude, nice personality and good smile is necessary.

me as an oldbie just returned to this steaming city yesterday evening, but I wont fit the description.

Never mind-but make life easier for you and responders, please tell for what activtirs you need this lad-for see the city+surroundings, or the gay life/areas-this may make a lot of difference. These 2 may not really overlap that much. Besides: for see the normal 1st time major tourist sights, just a guidebook is needed.

BKK has over 100.00 taximeters-most filling up the trasnport-ossie. Most of them can-if the need exists-also be hired for the whole day with some bargaining.

I favor cultural, religious and historic sites. I'm happy to spend a day in a temple or at a botanical garden. I like photography so sites that favor good pictures would be helpful.

 

I would like some assistance on gay areas but I think I can probably figure that out on my own. I guess if I see a really attractive guy, I wouldn't mind help from the guide in helping me land the attractive guy back at my hotel!!!

For "legitimate" tourism you don't need to hire a guide. All the hotels have a tour desk with all kinds of different guided tours available, with English speaking tour guides. You can book all the tours you want that way.

 

If you're looking for a gay tour guide, nothing could be simpler. Just get on Gay Romeo and start searching the Bangkok section. You'll find plenty of willing gay guys who speak very good English who would be delighted to take you everywhere and also see to it that you end up delighted too.
