This is one of the best done and decorated bars in Sunee IMHO. He did a fantastic job with the remodel. Someone could really turn this place into a showplace!

I totally agree with you GT, this Club is so well Managed, the owner even know's if there has been a drink stolen or a bag of Ice to many ordered, to butter up some other member of staffs pocket, with his computerized tills, the Muzak must be the best of any GO Go apart from BBB. and with Big Screens around the club and a camera, to see the Boyz on stage back and front, it must be the best buy around at 2 Mill this is the place you should buy GT trouble is I hear the only reason he is selling is becuse the BIB dont want Farangs owning GO GO Bars and have made it quite clear, they will do all they can to disrupt any Farangs that do.

Honestly, I would buy in a heartbeat if I thought the issue with Farangs owning bars was going away soon. If I wanted to buy for the BF that would be a different story. However, I talked to him about this and he said he is not interested in this kind of business. Perhaps if it was on Walking Street and had Russian Ladies, he might be easily convinced.

I am curious as to why there is a purchase price plus a monthly rental.

The purchase price is for the business. Since the present owner does not own the building you would have to pay rent to the owner.

Even if the bar is operating legitimately, how much needs to be paid each month to the various BIB . . . you know who I mean, the ones who are not corrupt . . . ?

 

However, it's certainly a promising investment with regard to "location, location, location."

Yes I can assure you it is very true, this bar is being sold because of the fact Go Gos owned by farangs, at the moment, are not a good idea.

 

All other Host Bars are ok no problems there.

Jimm did an amazing job on this place and spent a pretty penny for the lights, sounds, stage, etc. However, if you look into most places in Sunee, the average rate for one shop is about 700,000 baht and that tends to be a fixer upper. In this case, it is already fixed up and the 2M gets you the lease. I would think a fair price for the place.

JJJ was at one time the best bar in pattaya and my favorite bar. I am not sure what happened but for some reason he was unable to bring new boys in and keep them.

That being said I have to agree that it may not be the best time for a foreigner to buy a bar. I have a friend in Bangkok that is a Lt. with the tourist police and he confirmed to me that there is a movement to eliminate foreign ownership but For now tho the trouble with the red shirt movement is top priority.

As long as you don't violate the posting rules, why would we delete your 'manifesto'? After all, if the Unibomber can write a manifesto, why can't you? I'm sure yours would be at least equally coherent.

 

You're actually allowed to express your own opinions here despite the fact that some accuse me of deleting posts that disagree with me. I suppose if a lie is repeated often enough people start to believe it. The only posts GT or I ever delete are posts that violate the rules or are just totally inappropriate and unacceptable. As long as you remain within the posting limitations, I see no reason why you shouldn't be able to post your opinion, your manifesto, or whatever you want to call it.

I don't see why! Further, you twist my request. Why should voldemar spend a considerable number of posts criticising others, suggesting that they have slanted ideas about the situation, pose serious questions, and then duck out of a response to a serious question I posed to him. Let's remember his post, which included the following -

I pretty much agreed. I also gave my outline of the problem and a way that has worked elsewhere to get rid of corruption, which I think we both believe to be at the root of many of the problems facing the country. I would like to hear voldemar's prescription. But perhaps it should be on the Red Shirts Rally - Day 5 thread where I originally asked him the question.

science or have a Cristal ball. Suffices to say that the rally will be huge (and hence you will prove to be wrong to no surprise) and Reds will not try to seize the airport as your another local expert Fountain hall claims.
