Last night 5 of us went to eat at Central Festival 5th Floor at All Seasons. All Seasons is an all you can eat steak, chicken, fish, salad bar, dessert, with soft drinks included place for one price of 285 baht which includes a 10% add on.

 

We all agreed that the food was good. It has a wide selection on food including pizza, spaghetti, several Thai salads, as well as the choice of meats.

 

One of the guys in our group said the ice cream was very good. He also mentioned it to the owner on the way out.

 

They give you plenty of time to eat, but like several all you can eat places, it is timed. If you stay too long, you will have an additional charge.

I must lead a sheltered life...I have never seen a restaurant of any kind that puts a time limit, and then charges you more. How much time does this place allow you, and what is the extra charge???

There are three timed all you can eat restaurants in Pattaya that I know of, Red Kimchi, All Seasons and I think the name of the other one is Sushiki. They all have a 90 minute time limit, which is plenty of time. I think they charge 20 baht for each 10 minutes past that limit, but not 100% sure of that.

As I was the one who really enjoyed the Ice Cream, I'll chime in and give my two cents worth. The place was nice. The staff was VERY friendly and the waiters were cute. It is very gay friendly.

 

The food was OK. It wasn't gourmet but it was OK. I liked the Pizza and they had some decent spaghetti.

 

The price was very reasonable for what you got.

 

I was not unhappy at all with the meal. I would eat there again if I were there and hadn't tried it in a while.

 

We also had dinner with the former owner of Amore. He was talking about his new Deli which seems to be fantastic. I wish him great success!

I have lead a sheltered life, too. Never heard of an all you can eat restaurant doing a time limit, but I am not the all-you-can eat type.

I have eaten in all you can eat places in locations across the globe, including of course some of the greatest in Las Vegas/Tahoe, but never before now, did I know of any with a time limit...Learn something new every day....well, almost every day!!

I can't think of the name of it off the top of my head, but that Japanese restaurant with the food coming around on a conveyor belt is also timed. There's one on the 6th floor of Central and another branch at the Lotus on Sukhumvit and Thepprasit.

 

I hate to tell you this, but as for learning something new every day, that is not true. Yesterday I didn't learn anything new . . .

I think the Japanese place that is all you can eat is Sushiki.

The Vegas all you can eat buffets are the best in USA.

 

However, if you ever go to Brazil, you must try a Churrascaria. My favorite in Rio is Porcao Ipanema. Absolutely yummy!

Did you know there is one right here in Pattaya at Central Festival, called Zico's? It's about 900 baht or so, but it's very good and the quality is comparable to ones I have been to to in Brazil.

I have been there. I enjoyed it. The people that own it live in my building and are from Brazil and very nice. It is great for Pattaya. It doesn't compare to anything in Brazil as the meat in Brazil is amazing. I am always leery to eat any beef in Thailand. Also, they are limited in the kinds of beef. In Brazil, it is not unusual to get 30 or more cuts of different beef in a sitting. Plus, all you can eat shrimp, lobster, etc. And, the bread in Brazil is amazing.

 

However, I went with a farang friend. And, it was right after they opened so on your recommendation, I'll give it another try. I think the best thing to do is to take the Thai BF and let him tell me what he thinks. Thank you for reminding me of this place.

I do not understand. How did the girls get above you? Is there a stage or something? In Brazil I thought the macho gauchos served the food

All the Brazilian Churrasco BBQ places I've been to (two) have had time limits. It was more about having two 'sittings' (e.g. 6pm and 8pm) rather than them timing you.
