on the same soi as Chez Vickie restaurant..

with Grottinos Bakery Restaurant on the corner.

I walked by a few times. The ladies have moved from sitting on the terrace to standing in the soi. The 2 times I walked by 2-3 of the ladyboys have been approaching passersby out on the soi in front of Cat's. They are in their silk kimonos and they are aggressive - one grabbed my arm and flirted and tried to get me to go inside - another time one of them grabbed my crotch. I guess that is better than a pushy mamasan but not much of an upgrade.

 

Directly across the soi from Cats was the Dolphin restaurant. I think the Dolphin hotel may still be open for business but the associated restauarnt has been closed for a few years. I was told today that a guy from Norway will reopen the Dolphin restauarnt at its previous location sometime in September. The kitchen staff will be the same as the Dolphin employed before. The long-time head waiter from Ole, a guy probably in his 30's with a few extra pounds around the middle, will work at the Dolhin restaurant in the same capacity as he worked at Ole. He is a great guy, hard worker, aims to please -

I certainly wouldn't invest any of my money in a gay venue in Day-Night. A small look at the past should be a good prediction of the future...failure. Even some nice facilities haven't been able to make it work.
