September 13, 201016 yr The Corner Bar is the home of the White Sox guys. This place has been improving for many years. When the former owner took it over, he did a fantastic job at getting the place spotless and nice. The remodel effort was fantastic. When the new owners took over they started offering food. What a brilliant idea. The food is fantastic and there is no other place in Sunee that can compete with their Cheeseburgers. I also like their Chicken Platter and Onion Rings. The Corner Bar is one of the best places in Sunee to eat. They will also deliver to all the other bars if you have a place that you need to sit to talk to that special boy. With the Corner Bar and the new YaYa across the street and then the amazing Come In Bar next door, this area is fantastic. Now if someone would only open up a GoGo bar next door!
September 13, 201016 yr Now if someone would only open up a GoGo bar next door! Only 700K baht for the gogo next door! Corner Bar is my favorite. Usually full when the other bars are empty, the owners do an excellent job of turning a visitor into a regular.

Comments posted before about the former Sawatdee Boys Club next door... now closed...is that it will NOT be able to get a GoGo license... due to the prior history of the address. The prior charges go with the address... not applicant history, per my understanding. Host bar such as YaYa's, Ducs and Corner Bar OK...maybe. But NO GoGo allowed...as it will NOT get the needed licenses. But TIT...and money speaks ??? tj

When I was going to stay in Thailand I had a friend go to the License office and ask about the location. I was told that it was possible to wipe the slate clean if it was a Thai owner and not a falang owner. Those pesky falangs. Of course this is now been closed for 8 months and the whole situation may have changed. And, you are right, money talks.
September 14, 201016 yr It's too bad they don't open for lunch. When I have been in Sunee in the afternoon the street scene is dead, so don't know if there would be enough business to justify opening. In addition, the owners don't finish their work until the early morning hours and need a well deserved break before their evening opening.
September 15, 201016 yr Maybe it's the chicken and the egg thing. Likely so. Someone should open a massage shop in Sunee. It would attract customers from noon to midnight. Maybe that would be the beginning of some afternoon foot traffic in the area.

Many of our customers regularly order food from The Corner Bar opposite us. The food is delivered fresh and hot in minutes from across the soi to our customers. Consistently, they have remarked how good the food is and what a great price. In fact, like GayThailand, I personally love the cheeseburger and agree that it is fantastic.
September 16, 201016 yr The owners' of Corner Bar really do do a good job. Last night Mike told me he now will serve eggs with his baskets instead of french fries or onion rings since some of his customers are on low-carb diets. No extra charge

It is nice that they recognize the customers needs and will change things to make sure customers are getting what they want. Great customer service.
