January 22, 201115 yr Thai Airways has just emailed its FF members with a circular with a link to the following page http://www.thailandm...n=WellnessnSpa. The prices look expensive. Maybe no one of this forum would be interested, but dental surgery is a different matter. Two years ago a friend of mine flew to Pattaya seeking a dental inplant. I started a thread on Sawatdee which got sidetracked as usual, and I ended up answering only PMs on his treatment. Not only was his inplant less than 25% what he would cost him at home, but even his dentist grudgingly admitted it was an excellent job. Since then by word of mouth only, 5 people where he works and a number of his colleagues friends, have flown to Pattaya for similar treatment.. Inplants, bridges, crowns etc. He was strongly recommended to go to the Pattaya Hospital, but he met some expats at TwoGuys and in several coffee shops who claimed the dentists in South Road, are just as competent and lot cheaper. He ended up at a surgery opposite the supermarket ,east of Tukcom. The only downside for his implant , was for the second trip, but he budgeted for that and it did not concern him. All the publicity I have seen here at home refers to Phuket and their cosmetic surgery. Maybe Pattaya is becoming more competitive now.I have seen nothing in the press about dental treatment.
January 22, 201115 yr I didn't plan on having some dental work done in Pattaya but during my stay over the last few months I broke a crown and had it replaced in Pattaya. The cost was much less that having it dome in my home country, about 75% less. I'm anxious to see what my dentist at home thinks of the work done in Pattaya vs his work. I can't really tell the difference.

January 25, 201115 yr one can get good dentist help about anywhere tourists come-and in many towns outside that circuit too. at low prices for a good standard. Expect fluent english and adapt to the specifif farang wayoflife only in farangland though. this may come as shell-shock for the Pattaya crowd, but is no secret for most others. incidentally, I just made a new appointment yesterday for the yearly check.
January 25, 201115 yr Gosh, from your picture I wouldn't think you are old enough to have a crown! He wears a tiara except for formal occasions.
