November 9, 201114 yr The impact of the flooding on the Thai economy will be too short term to have any significant effect on exchange rates. The effect of a couple of decades of irresponsible borrowing in the USA, the UK and the PIGS is a much more lasting problem.
November 10, 201114 yr as z909-and i think even more in the other direction as tipically those askers tend to think: more demand for THB, due to need for extensive repairs=means higher prices in US$ to pay for it. Same-same happened in Japan after Tepco-reactor failure. OR: go to fora like thaivisa for the eternal wining and better knowers (just closed it-hence why)
